Section 01

The party

Alcoholic share — of every 100 glasses poured, how many contain alcohol. At 70%, seven in ten glasses are beer or wine and three in ten are soda, water or coffee. It splits the same total demand in two; it does not change the total.
Crowd spread — how unequal your guests are. It widens the uncertainty, not the expected amount: a mixed crowd needs a bigger buffer for the same certainty.
